2004 Season Archive

The 2004 four season was intertwined with chaos and consistency like DNA of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. First, a week before the draft, the web site mysteriously disappeared! With some quick hustle, and determination, the site was restored and the league went on. Football will always prevail in the face or technology!

After years of loyal service to the league, Burnt Weeny Sandwich owner, Becky, called it quits. Her team was sold to Roger, who created the challenging Motor City Jesus Chryslers. Led by quarterback Peyton Manning this team quickly established itself in the Rebel division.

From the start of the season, it appeared the Liquor Legion was poised to be the second team to win back to back championships; but the games must be played. The Liquor Legion dominated the Yankee division late into the season, but the patient, and ultimately victorious champion of the league, Marietta Malice crept up to knock the Legion out in the playoffs. Even more surprising was The William Tecumseh Memorial Football Team; overcoming a slow start to win the Yankee Division title.

The Rebel division was turned upside down. The Texas Armadillos, who struggled for years in the Yankee division, found new life in their rightful southern home, and posted their best season performance ever. The Bitchmonkey's a perennial playoff contender fell apart and will be looking to rebuild the franchise as their key players start to age.
