1999 Season Archive

"I like children. If they're properly cooked.", W. C. Fields. And so began the father-son rivalry between Rob and Aaron. When K.C. decided to retire from the league, the door was opened for Rob's son to claim a team. This would result in some fierce competition for the next few years.

There was also the usual transition with other teams. Doug, too busy with other ventures, gave his team to a grateful Michael, aka Bam Bam. Andy, satisfied with his two Superbowl victories, decided to quit while he was ahead, and thus the door was opened for Jayno to join the league. Slowly the primary long term players were beginning to settle in at this point.

Can you say beginner's luck? Well that seemed to be the case as Bam Bam rolled through the Rebel division on his way to a Superbowl title. Jayno, also a new comer, finished with the best regular season record at 10 - 4. Aaron, the other new member, upset Jayno to face Bam Bam in the Superbowl. Ultimately, thanks to HB Fred Taylor, Bam Bam would be the best "newbie" of the bunch.
